Default What Networks Edit this show?

What Networks Edit their episodes of Diff'rent Strokes I'm wondering if TNN or Nick-at-Nite edits their episodes of this show, or even TV Land for that matter. Can someone please help?

Thanks

I've never seen the show when it first aired but apparently they all edit the show and they are the same edits.

Diff'rent Strokes on Nick@Nite, TV Land and TNN all have about
2-3 minutes worth of footage cut out to make room for more commercials. Sometimes they cut entire scenes and sometimes they also just cut out small lines for no reason.

The credits are still the same though. Here in the UK I think is the only place were they show the full episode because there is only one commercial break.

You have no idea how lucky you are Jethro with the one commericial break. Americans have to wade through about 3 different sets of commerical breaks just in a 30 minute show. It's ridiculous.

Yea, it's so sad, it's not even funny. Normally there are 3 commercial breaks wiht about 5 different ads. It's horrible.

As Buddy Berkman said to Greg Brady/Johnny Bravo on the Brady Bunch or Brady Grid:

They do it legal like you dig?

Have you ever tried to watch the credits and you see them shrunk to the size of a gnat and sped up to the point where you can't read them anyway? Very Annoying if you want to find information. TV Trick to save time (for more comercials) done with Electronic Sleight Of Hand!

Yep, Brady Bunch again.

Amen.

For Buddy Berkman also said this line to Greg (Electronic Sleight of Hand referring to cutting the record & Greg's voice sounding diff'rent). I mean Johnny.

Or how about this one: The screen is cut in half w/credits on one side, and a "Talking Head" on the other saying "Stay tuned for Your Daily Fishwrap...I mean The Evening News"? Very annoying for the loud voiceover and finding information. TV Trick to save time & space (for credits are usually sped up as well) w/Electronic Sleight of Hand.

Yep. Split Credits shrunk to fit promo.

The credits are specially typed for TV Shows to bring this to us; isn't that neato? The TV People think its super cool. Fortuanately, I'm Decade Impaired, so split credits don't impress me, The Retro Man.

For the Brady Grid is Righteous; that and without Split Credits. Let it be so for All nations, tongues, and kindreds.

Amen.

Or the soundtrack is obscured by the voiceover. Done w/Electronic Sleight of Hand; I tell you people on Brady Bunch were Genius in their Fortune Telling. The Johnny Bravo ep was a Very Good Portrayal of the Commercialized Era of companies, corporations, TV NETWORKS feeding us what THEY want, not what the FANS want (fitting the suit).

But anyway:

The credits are shrunk, sped up, split up, made to be voiceovered so that Nobody can enjoy them when watching TV. See the stereotype is people walk out of the movies when the Credits come up. And go to the bathroom or whatever (Commercial Time!). And so the Networks feed us this Crapolia.

TV people are so smart they're so stupid at times. Maybe the Neckties cutting off Circulation to their Brain.

And everybody said Amen.

Amen.

Now why are the credits shown if they can't be read or whatever?

Screen Actors Guild would have a fit if they didn't have credits.

Directors or Producers would have a fit.

And Momma would have a fit if she couldn't see her Baby's name on the screen (The Gaffer).

Amen.

And The Brady Bunch or Brady Grid:

Special CREDIT goes to them in helping me make this post. Yes and they are:

Righteous.
