Miles comes twice??? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I just saw an older episode of The Golden Girls where Rose is dating a man named Arnie...and the actor who plays him is the same actor who plays Miles!! Did they think we wouldn't notice that they brought back the same actor again later on...and again as Rose's boyfriend, but a different character! What?? They didn't even make a joke about it like making Rose say "you know you look really familiar...have I dated you before?" or anything like that.

Yeah, it has been acknowledged on this board. No one is sure why it was done. Probably, when the show was only aired once a week, only the DIE-HARD fans might have noticed it.

I remember when I first saw Myles on the show that it was a reunion of sorts from Mary Tyler Moore. Betty White played Sue Ann Nivens, the Happy Homemaker and Harold Gould played Rhoda Morgenstern's father.

Just a little coincidence...

Also, Sophia's sister Angela plays Harold Gould's TV wife on MTM, or so I've heard.

This is true...

She also played "Madge" in the old handsoap commercials for Palmolive. Her name was Nancy Walker...

She has passed away... I wonder if Harold Gould has?
