Was there an episode I missed where Martin invents a time machine? A lot of season 3 episodes have featured time travel, but not from the first 2 seasons.

According to the folklore of the series, the original time travel episode was scheduled to appear late in season 2. When CBS renewed the series and greenlighted the switchover to color the producer asked network permission to hold off on the time travel concept until the opening of season three. A reworked version of that season 2 time travel script was the final episode of the series, "Pay The Man the 24 Dollars". The only explanation of the time travel machine was given at the beginning of the first episode of season 3. The two parter that opened season 3 (Go West, Young Martin, Go West Part 1 & 2) are my favorite episodes of the series. I thought season 3 was very good however Sherwood Schwartz who was involved with the series when it started thought the time travel concept ruined the show.
