Tracy Chapman
If you love folksingers like Odetta and Joan Baez and singers like Jewel take a listen to the wonderful sound of Tracy Chapman. Since her debut in 1988 Tracy has charmed the world over with her unique sound and thoughtful lyrics and when her self-titled album was released in 1988 it made Tracy Chapman a huge success partly due to her first single Fast Car which she won a Grammy for. The first time I liked Tracy Chapman was when I bought her second album Crossroads and was surprised that she was even better than Jewel and her voice was unique. I was impressed with that album so much that I bought more Tracy Chapman albums and her 1995 album New Beginning is also great too. Tracy Chapman is so impressive that if you have a choice to buy either a Jewel album or a Tracy Chapman album buy a Tracy Chapman album and hear a talent like any other
