Default Regarding the flood of posts as of late

Okay, I do realize I'm not the board's moderator, but since I always seem to be the one to initiate the controversial subjects, I'm attempting to address this one. It has been brought to my attention that several other board members share in my aggravation as of late, that we come on to check the messages in the evenings, only to find a million new posts. Now, this WOULD be wonderful... who doesn't want an active board? The only problem being the posts are of no substance or have been repeated topics every other day.

I do realize there are many new members, just as I realize many of the posters are on the younger side (mainly the newer posters). You may not be aware you're doing this, but it redundant one-liner posts are just a waste of space, and quite frankly, I'm tiring of sifting through them to get to the thought-out posts, which I come here to read in the first place. Most of you have great insight, and I love reading and discussing and debating numerous topics with you all. It's hard to do that when I have to go through all this fluff to get there. I don't know if it's some kind of game you're playing, that you want to see how many posts you can get in the shortest amount of time, but let me just state this: No one cares how many posts you have! They care about the caliber of your posts. You could post one great post a week, and you'd be more likely to get many responses as opposed to your one-liner, already have been stated posts.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, or if I haven't worded it correctly, it just needed to be said. I love this board and I don't want to leave, but sadly, as of lately, I find it a waste of time to check because it takes far to long to find a post which I may want to partake in.

If this could be brought to a minimum, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm not discouraging any of you to post, just think it out before you hit that post button! Don't feel I'm directing this towards any one person, I've just noticed this pattern recently. I'm not pointing fingers.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I love you all! *smooches*

Lilith: I mapped out our dominant and recessive traits on a genome square, applied Mendel's laws, allowed for anomolies, and concluded that you are the best biological choice.
Frasier: I see. Well, enticed as I am by your honeyed words, I'm gonna need some kissin'.
Lilith: Frasier, don't misunderstand. I'm not proposing any change in our relationship.
Frasier: Would we sleep together?
Lilith: I thought we'd freeze your sperm.
Frasier: Is that a yes or a no?
Lilith: Natural fertilization isn't practical. I'd have to fly to Seattle every time I ovulate.
Frasier: Right, okay. So then, your plan is for me to visit some local doctor, freeze my essence, and then bring it home with you.
Lilith: Correct. I'll take mine to go!

I have to agree with Bethany 150%. I, too, find myself frustrated with many of the recent posts. As Bethany said, it is wonderful to be able to come here and chat about some of our favorite actors, characters, and episodes. However, as Bethany also stated, it can become tiresome to have to read posts that really don't state full ideas. I love to respond, but lately I've felt that the posts aren't really conversation starters. We are not trying to be the board snobs or martyrs, we just simply want to talk about relevant topics about Cheers. Sometimes, if you have a lot to talk about, it might be best if you try to include it in one larger post instead of twelve little posts. It can be exhausting to come to the board to try to post some responses, and find that you have to read through twenty posts. In addition, when so many little messages are posted, it pushes other posts that weren't given the chance to be discussed out of the way, and are forgotten. I agree with Bethany fully, and I am very pleased that our opinions have been stated.

I have to agree with you, everyone try to cut down the posts unless you think the topic is important for disscussion or you have a question about something.
thanks-> the moderator

Who the hell are you kidding? We're the Lilith and Diane of this board. Whether we like it or not.

I am the out-spoken, say-it-as-it-is-whether-you-like-it-or-not, word-manipulator, and you're the rambling intellect.

I hate to admit it, but you are right. Can we really help it if we take the form of our characters? After all, you are like Bebe's long lost daughter?
