Sad Golden Palace on Lifetime Please!

They could at least combine it with the Golden Girls... Since it didn't do so well... they can just put those few episodes in there with the Golden Girls Theme. What do you guys think. Personally I have seen every ep of Golden Girls & I want to see some new eps even though it won't be as good as Dorothy not on it.Oh wait there was one episode with Dorothy!! I'm sure the series was good.... don't understand why it didn't last longer??

I love The Golden Palace! The things I don't really care for is

1. Blanche wasn't with men as nearly as much as she was on GG.
2. Don Cheadle

Blanche: I don't really mind Clayton being homosexual, I just don't like him dating men.
Dorothy: You really haven't grasped the concept of this gay thing yet, have you?
Blanche: There must be homosexuals who date women.
Sophia: Yeah, they're called lesbians.

I don't think I ever saw Golden Palace. I'd love to see that show if some network would show the reruns.

First of all, I would suggest that you use the search option at the bottom of every board. You can put in "Golden Palace" and get a fair return of postings about the show.

Second, as has been stated in the past, GP only aired for one season. Therefore, it's not eligible for syndication. Plus, if Lifetime bought the show, they would have to show it seperately from TGG (because of commercial regulations). So, why would they buy a show that has 15 episodes (give or take a few) that would be seen in its entirety in two weeks. I think we'd all get sick of it.

Plus, it did not do well in the ratings -- at least not as well as TGG. So, despite the following, we're in the minority to see it. Same holds true for a great show like "Freaks and Geeks."

So... there's the basic answer. Enjoy the boards here, and have fun!

They made 24 GREAT episodes! And I would NOT get sick of this show! I mean Lifetime repeats GG so much also.

So, if the show is only aired twice a day, it would go for 2.5 weeks. That hardly seems worth it.

Someone out there has them on tape, I'm sure. How to get them, I don't know.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying I don't want it. I just understand why it won't happen.

Well if that's the case..... Lifetime could do a special marathon once each year showing all the 24 eps of Golden Palace.... that way we could tape all of them & look back on it whenever we please. There should be a channel specifically for Spin Offs & shows that didn't do so well.

I know theres a 99.5% chance it won't happen, but it COULD be aired only on the weekends, or only Saturday, etc...
