I'm sorry if someone else posted this previously --I scrolled back only 4 pages.

I really didn't like the theme for the last year of the series. I always liked the first one.
It was a huge turn-off to hear the "snazzy" lyrics: "Flipper is such a swinger"
from the Sinatra wannabee

The "jazzy" theme was used only on a few season 2 episodes. Evidently they heard about it and changed it back quickly. So the rest of season 2 and all of season 3 had the original theme.
