Default Mannix... in the Brady home!

I just happened to be watching the final episode of the seventh season of Mannix on DVD (which I'll be reviewing soon) with Linda Evans as the guest star. The episode is probably unfamiliar to most fans, because it is one of the many episodes which does not air in syndication. Much of the action in the episode takes place in the home of the character played by Evans. But you don't even have to look closely to tell that it is the Brady house!

Everything starts in the bedroom, which appears to be Mike and Carol's bedroom... then they move down to the patio in the backyard, and you can see the Brady family kitchen (COMPLETELY unaltered) through the middle sliding doors, to the right are more sliding doors (which show the Brady living room and foyer very clearly), and to the left is another set of sliding doors... although the curtains are drawn on these and you can't see through to the Brady family room. After that, a lot of the drug dealing happens in the living room and foyer area... most unaltered, BUT the staircase is gone and replaced with a piano. They even went into the closet where Carol found the jacket with the pack of cigarettes in it... could you even IMAGINE how she would have felt if she'd found suitcases full of money and heroin in there, as was the case in THIS episode???

Of course, this isn't the first time that the Brady house was ever featured in other series, and in fact, I believe that there were other Mannix episodes where we got to see the Brady house. But this is probably the clearest and most unmodified (although the staircase is missing) version of the house I've ever seen in another series.

By the way, the episode aired March 31, 1974, so it was a few weeks after the final episode of The Brady Bunch. And unfortunately, Robert Reed didn't get the opportunity to revisit his old home in this episode, as the last episode of Mannix to feature his character had JUST aired one week earlier!

The Mannix episode would be interesting to see.
Here are a few more:

Here is a link that features the Brady Bunch set that was used in Mission Impossible.

Also the Brady set was used in the Bug horror movie: (the whole movie is also on youtube).

I don't think they should be fighting like that in the Brady House! They might break a vase!

The bug lady should have yelled for Alice! Alice would have come running with a fire extinguisher, for sure!!

I think those people just snuck into the Brady house when the Brady's were in Hawaii

Of course Alice might have just thought it was "drama queen" Marcia screeming about her nose again, and would have just ignored it!

I remember seeing the Brady stairs on the final episode of Mannix, the episode had John Ritter as a guest star.

One of the other episodes was "One For the Lady."

They also used the Brady backyard for an episode of Happy Days called Fonzie Joins The Band.

You can also see the boys bunk beds in an episode of Laverne & Shirley. I believe it's the episode where Lenny and Squiggy become roommates
