Default Is a hot dog a sandwich?

>>>On many forums, people are now wondering and debating: “Is a hot dog a sandwich?“. Well, this question has inspired lots of debates and message boards, as well as picnic conversations.

So, the exact definition of a sandwich is “two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling between.” Due to this, some would claim that hotdogs should definitely frame into this statement.<<<

I mean, it can be, to women…and some men.

Oh, we’re talking about food hot dogs, correct? If so, then on second thought, forget that I said anything.

So much time to debate this???? I could care less, the ones I've had in my life
were darn pretty good. Our town had a fair every year and a highlight in the foods
was a hot dog with onions/sauerkraut, mustard, relish and what a taste treat. Never heard it called a sandwich. A couple of the above is a nice meal.

I agree with George Costanza in this video. If it has meat, bread and condiments, then it's a sandwich.

When I watched that last night I was thinking “Isn’t there a thread about that around here somewhere?” Turns out not only is there, but that I also started it.

I would say it is. By this definition then hamburgers/cheeseburgers are considered sandwiches, too. You also have open sandwiches, such as tuna melt.

However, a separate debate is if tacos, wraps, gyros, and burritos are considered to be sandwiches.

How about soup and stew? Isn't stew just a thick soup?
