Arrow What do you think was the GREATEST SERIES finale EVER?

What show had the BEST SERIES finale. Not SEASON finale, SERIES finale. Even if you didnt like the show, you might have liked the way they ended it (or ended it in general! lolol)

I have to say, the best series finale EVER on MY list is Newhart.
I was never a big fan of it, and Ive never seen an episode...but when I saw the series finale a few years ago, I instantly though GENIUS!
For those who dont know how it ended...Newhart (Bob Newhart) got whacked in the head with a "golf" ball, passed out and woke up in bed...on his OTHER show Bob Newhart show......the whole Newhart show was a DREAM!!! I personally just think that was such a great way to leave a show. Instead of having the same old Wedding, death, moving, thing...you wake up in a dream with an old castmember and scenery.

Golden Girls. It was the only finale I really like so far.

Well maybe not ever but I really liked the Roswell ending although I thought it ended too soon. It was interesting and I like the voice overs it had. The whole dream thing was pretty brilliant. I always like a good dream plot.

1. Taxi
2. The Jeffersons
3. Diff'rent Strokes

Oh wait, they never had finales! lol

Seriously, I loved Cheers but hated the finale so I'd say Seinfeld.

I liked the Golden Girls & The Fresh Prince the best..... I cry everytime when the girls hug one last time.I remember when the Fresh Prince finale first came on & Will was hugging everybody goodbye... I cried.... I was just asking myself where was Carlton & here he goes running down the stairs from the bathroom & my crying came to laughing when saw that LOL!

I never saw the Golden Girls one, but it sounds like it'd be one of my faves. Oxygen is getting closer and closer to showing the series finale of Kate & Allie, and when I see it (probably this week or next week) I'll reveal my favorites.

I loved the finale of Happy Days. Joanie and Chachi's wedding was a good way to end the series. Potsie wasn't in it though...I missed him.

I also liked Newhart...I thought it was so funny when he woke up on The Bob Newhart Show. LOl! Genius!

The Cosby Show was good too...everyone gathering together for Theo's graduation. I wish they had given more air time to the other characters though.

Finales are soooooo sad! I hate to say good-bye to a beloved show!

Considering all the shows that I like that actually did get an end episode, I would have to say it was a tie between 'Leave it to Beaver' (The family scrapbook episode) and "Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C.

I cried my eyes out with the Gomer one. Gomer sends in a transfer because Sgt. Carter blew up at him, so Gomer didn't want to upset Sgt. Carter any more. When Sgt. Carter finds out about the transfer, he's happy about it. Duke reminds Carter that Gomer is a loyal person. He doesn't mean to get into the spots that he gets into, but he will stay by a friend that is in trouble. Carter thinks about this and tears up Gomer's transfer and Gomer stays.

Ha, it'll be another month when I see the K&A finale lol.
My favorite is the "Alice" one. Mel selling the diner (after attempting to sell it in many episodes) was so sad. Alice finally becomes a singer for Nashville, Vera and Elliot prepare for their new baby. Jolene opening up a beauty salon. I only wish Flo and Belle came back. The strange thing is, I cried my eyes out in my room, even thought I knew TNN wouls start off with 1976 again the next day, lol......you know, that was the same day we got our computer put up in 1999.....oh the irony.....lol

Another one of my faves is the Newhart one. I saw it when TNN had a day where they showed nothing but first and last eps of each of their shows. Dick looked so scary when the Japanese golfer knocked him out with a golf ball...but it was so great to see Suzanne Pleshette, and that old Bob Newhart bedroom.

I also love the Dallas one, I forgot what happened, but I know I remember watching it and crying. But of course, the show started with 1978 again the next day.
