Default Fonzie tells his life story!

since Henry Winkler probably won't do it, I thought it would be fun to start one, based on what we know about the Fonz, I'll bet you know a lot about him! I'll start okay?

"I was born in Milwaukie Wisconsin in 1939. I was raised by my Grandma Noosebaum, & have been on my own since I was six. Cars & girls have always been my constant love. I worked on my first car when I was 7. My first date happened then too, with a girl who was sixteen & boy did she learn fast! What's the secret of being cool? Don't do nothing to anybody you would want them to do to you. I remember meeting Ritchie for the first time in a dark alley where I was about to beat him up for stealing a Falcon booth at Arnold's earlier. I wound up leaving the Falcons after being with them for 3 years. I realized I didn't need my Falcon jacket or cap to be cool. I found that Ritchie had a lot of spunk & we wound up being best of friends. We still see each other once in a while. He still lives in LA & writes movies & loves covering the Dodgers."

Okay there's my part!

You know what I don't understand about the whole Fonzie story. He tells everyone that his mother left him when he was 6, and he's been on his own ever since. But he lived with Grandma Nussbalm, right? So how could he have been on his own? He had to have lived with her AFTER the mom left, because no self respecting Grandma, or any relative, would've let her little grandchild live on his own at that age...or any age under 18, right? So when was he on his own? And if he was indeed on his own with no Grandma, why didn't Louisa take him in? You know she loved him, she never would've let him be on his own, even if it meant her taking another job. The whole thing just doesn't add up. Oh, and I think too much. LOL

i always wondered that myself - did the Fonz just mean that he was "on his own" in the sense that he didn't rely on ANYBODY, but he did LIVE with his Grandma Noosebaum (Nussbaum?) - did he mean that he earned (either as a mechanic/helper or some other job/s) his own money for food etc. ?

- or was he just referring to being an orphan, and "emotionally" he was on his own, with no support or guidance from any parents (maybe Grandma was just busy)?

Sounds like it's conference time in the men's room at Arnold's.
