While it’s easy to see why NBC would want to bring back Night Court, it is a bit surprising, considering how the network ended the series’ first run in 1992. The network had originally decided to end the show after eight seasons, and the series’ writers worked with that in mind, carefully crafting arcs that would lead to a satisfying overall conclusion in the Season Eight finale.

The series is currently streaming on Freevee and it did take awhile for the show to find its niche with so many cast changes either actors leaving or passing away I believe Seasons 4-7 were it's peak years, Season 8 is when it starts to get tiresome and Season 9 definitely just outwore its welcome.
And the series finale was just so underwhelming, a few story arcs were finished but then we're left confused with Dan's resigning to win Christine's affection? and then Bull gets transported away to who knows where with two old guys claiming to be aliens, WTF? |
