I found the song Soulful Strut by Young-Holt Orchestra and when I listened to it I discovered that the group Swing Out Sister did a cover of it and retitled it Am I The Same Girl? that became a top hit in the 80's. I never knew that Soulful Strut had lyrics and a different title and I liked the song when Joss Stone sampled it in her song Don't You Wanna Ride from her album Mind Body And Song. How did Swing Out Sister get the chance to add lyrics to this song?
