As I am sure that a lot of you know, every episode of "Gimme a Break!" has been uploaded onto You Tube (most episodes multiple times). These uploads have been there for years. Unlike other shows that are uploaded in their entirety, these episodes stay up. One series in which the uploads almost always get taken down within a few days is "Three's Company". One of the reasons that the "Gimme a Break!" episodes tend to stay might be that this show was only a modest success in its prime. There are very few networks that show it in syndication. I do not know if any of the DVDs are still in production. This being the case, the people who own the rights to the show probably feel that they have nothing to loose by people getting to see it for free. According to my experiences, very few movies that get uploaded in their entirety stay up for a significant amount of time. However, one movie that has been up there for quite a while in its entirety is "My Bodyguard". Is anyone here familiar with that film? I saw it when I was eleven years old. It came out the year before "Gimme a Break!" made its debut. Would anyone like to kick around some theories as to why the people who own the rights to it never took it down? On top of that, I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who wants to tell me what they think of that movie.
