In one of my boxes of music I found an album by a singer named Imani Coppola and I wondered why she never released a second album but released songs on movie soundtracks. Imani's first hit was a rap song called I'm A Tree which sampled The Doors song Soul Kitchen and then released the second single Legend Of A Cowgirl which samples Donovan's song Sunshine Superman. To be honest I had never even heard of Imani Coppola before until I saw her album at Goodwill and bought it and found her music style fun and amazing since Imani uses 60's songs as samples for her songs. Why did Imani Coppola fail and never got the fame she recieved? Did Columbia Records drop her due to poor album sales?
