Nope. They never did get married. I think they should've.

Well, they had wedding plans because there are is a episodes where they are giving out invatations and Tony's lips get all swollen from the glua on the envolpes, but Angela thinks it is because he is nervous about getting married.

I never knew they never got married on it.
On the British version The Upper Hand that used the exact same scripts, they got married in the final episode.

I knew that British show was a total rip off. I wasn't sure at first until I started watching the WTB reruns. Why would they make such a blatant copy? Couldn't they have just showed the show over there instead???

It was the only British sitcom ever were they took and American format to do the show, were as American sitcoms have done it with British ones a few times.
It wasn't exactly a rip off because the show was co-made by Columbia and and was fully licensed.

Who's The Boss is shown over here too. But if you say that bit about why not just show Who's The Boss you could say in America why didn't they just show the British sitcom Till death Us Do Part and not bother making All In The Family etc. They wanted a British format for it.

You were led to believe that in the last episode when Tony returns back from Iowa, that they eventually did get married, just a little later than planned, but we never knew when the date was anyway?

You asked how the British version could be such a blatant copy. Well, they bought the rights to the old episodes. And in their last episode when they do get married the creators of Who's the Boss? flew to Britian and helped. (The writers of WTB wanted Tony and Angela to get married but I'm pretty sure the reason they didn't was because the network didn't want them to. P.S. Tony didn't either.)

That's strange that they didn't want them to get married on Who's The Boss.

I've got the last episode of the British version "The Upper Hand" on tape and it is written by the 2 creators, I think that was the only episode they ever did a new script for.

Well, the real reason they did not get married was because the show's original premise would have been ended. Whenever a show adds a baby or a marriage takes place, the show goes downhill. Something Tony did not want to see happen. Most of the comedy in the show was from Angela and Tony catching each other in awkward situations, if they got married that would have all been lost. Think about it and it was a good thing that they never got married...

I totally agree. In the E True Hollywood Story Judith said that she wanted them to get together. I think the series finale left everyone wondering. It made me start the series over in my head...you know, the first meeting, the robe...it was great!
