Seriously? What a beyond frivolous Lawsuit. Woman bought a Kit Kat with no wafer, so she plans or planned to sue Nestle for a lifetime supply of chocolate! Really? It's just a chocolate bar with no wafer! Grow up!

I believe less and less of what is printed out there. Like it's been said for decades, Do You Believe Everything You Read????

I believe less and less and question just about everything in the media.

For starters a lawfirm would NEVER consider anything like this noise.

Wait. So she got a Kit Kat bar with ALL chocolate... and she's complaining??! Seems to me that would be pretty tasty.
Some people will do anything for money.

Nah, it’s based in truth but

- it happened over in London

- it happened 6 years ago

- she threatened to sue, but I can’t find any follow up, so a lawsuit probably never happened

I took a course titled Product Liability.

A food manufacturer (or processor) will not be held liable unless there is a foreign object found in the product.

For example, if a steel bolt is found in a can of shelled mixed nuts, there could be liability. A few nutshells though would not be cause for a case of liability.

Of course, another problem is when allergens (like peanuts potentially causing a reaction) are found in food products that have not been named in the list of Ingredients.

There's no grounds for a lawsuit over missing Kit Kat content. It's not uncommon to find totally empty wrappers inside bags of "Snack Size" or "Fun Size" candy, there would be endless lawsuits leading nowhere.

I work at a grocery store. Once while I was date checking the candy by the lanes found a fun sized peppermint patty sealed in regular sized package. You would think that they would catch the weight discrepancy at the factory.

Should I threaten to sue every time I find an Oreo wafer upside-down in the packaging?

(I'm curious as to how this mishap happens)
