Post What shows had the best holiday episodes?

What is your favorite holiday episodes from a sitcom? I'm looking for Christmas episodes, but you can include other holidays like Halloween, Thankgiving, Valentines Day, etc, etc...

Episodes that really get you in the mood for the holidays

Mine are:

1. Cheers- Thanksgiving episode
2. Taxi- Christmas
3. Honeymooners- Christmas
4. The Simpsons- Christmas(The first one)

Dick Van Dyke Show - Alan Brady Presents (Christmas Episode)
Family Ties - 1st Season Christmas Episode and Thanksgiving Episode when Steven and Elyse lands in jail.
Bob Newhart Show - Thanksgiving Episode Moo goo ga pan
Eight Is Enough - Yes Nicholas there is A Santa Claus. Powerful performances by Betty Buckley and Willie Aames. Very tearful episode.
All In the Family - The Draft Dodger and when Archie and Edith went to California to visit Mike and Gloria for Christmas only to find out that they were separated.
The crossover episode with Petticoat Junction, Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The only sad part of those shows that Kate was not there.

I loved every Halloween episode of Roseanne except for the 9th season Halloween episode. I think they made the best Halloween episodes.

I also loved the Halloween episode of season 1 on Will and Grace where they get tricked into baby sitting. lol

The Frasier Christmas episode with Dr. Mary in it is quite amusing.

The Home Improvement episode where Tim puts light on top of the house is a riot.

The Thanksgiving/Christmas episodes of Beverly Hillbillies are all quite good.

The following shows had great holiday episodes:

"The Wonder Years" - 4 Xmas, one Valentine's Day
"The Brady Bunch" - one Xmas
"The Waltons" - countless, especially the Xmas episode about the two orphaned English children found by the Baldwin ladies

That's all I can think of at the moment!

Thumbs up Re: What shows had the best holiday episodes?

The Facts of Life "Christmas in The Big House" and "It's A Wonderful Christmas" where Beverly Ann wishes she never came to Peekskill and Santa shows her the girls life without her being there.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer "Amends"

Popular "Fall on Your Knees" the best Popular Christmas episode ever!

Mama's Family the one where Mama played Santa Claus at the mall. The ending was great when she saw Carls star on the tree after she thought it was lost.

I know you said sitcoms but I think this soap had the best Christmas episode from last year (2001)

Passions! Timmy & Tabitha (Josh Ryan Evans & Juliet Mills) were the only ones in the episode. Timmy (a living doll) was wishing he was a real boy and Tabitha didn't want him to because she felt she lose him and be alone again. She and him reminisce about stuff that happen on the show and why Timmy shouldn't become human. I think the funniest quote was when Timmy said "Tell me what its like to be human" and Tabitha said "Well how should I know, I'm a witch!" I love those two on the show.

Saved By The Bell- the one where they help the homeless girl and her dad.

Home Improvement- when Tim puts the huge Santa on the roof.

Simpsons- first Christmas episode is a classic.

Although not necessarily a sitcom, I would have to add the Little House on the Prairie episode where Mr. Edwards brings the girls a tin cup, a candy cane and a new penny in his long underwear. He fell into a creek during a blizzard and still came.

I think this is the same episode where the snow got so high that it came almost to the top of the house.

GOOD MEMORIES!!!

Roseanne had the best Halloween episodes but my all around vote goes to Mama's Family. They had holiday episodes even for April Fool's Day and Mother's Day! I like the Thanksgiving one and both the Christmas episodes.

I love this Mama photo!

I always liked the classics. I think my favorites have to be the Smurfs. I like it when they show Christmas episodes. I do also love Amends. That was a sweet, sad yet creepy episode. I cried at the end. I do that all the time.
