I have two tapes at home of this interesting gem from the 1930s and 1940s. Could I please have some more info on Heckel and Jeckel?

Hey, I remember them. They aired with Mighty Mouse in syndication in the 70s and 80s. The twin magpies (I called them crows). One was English and always said I SAY OLE CHAP or something like that and the other talked like Edward G Robinson. They were always beating up on some poor sap. Very funny. The type of cartoon probably considered too violent for today's tv.

Strangely, in their first cartoon, they were a male - female couple, looking for a birdhouse :| ( unamed in that film )
