We learn in Season 3 "Porn Again" that Mama is unable to buy her blue and white Big Top Beer due to the boycott of Food Circus. The blue and white beer can props have been consistent thru the series as well as the family sketches from Carol Burnett.

I'm brain dead at the moment, but I think those blue and white beer cans have been used in other TV show/series during the 1970s-1980s. Probably doubtful that the cans actually had beer or liquid in them, but they definitely had those pull off tabs.

I think Mama and the family stop drinking beer altogether as the syndication nears the end. I'll have to pay attention as to the last time Mama is seen drinking a beer or referencing getting a beer.

Yes, Mama drank lots of beer in the NBC years. Syndication was rare to see her drink beer and then never.

I love it when Mama rips into Vint for letting Claude Cainmaker come over and drink all of her beer.

I like the Claude episode too.

And according to Eunice in some of her feuds with Mama- Mama drinks a six pack before 11am.

I think the dream-future sequence from I Do- I Don't has a funny scene with Iola (as Vint's wife) complaining that it would take a team of Clydesdales to keep up with all of Mama's guzzling.

I noticed that type of blue and white beer can is also used on a LOT of TV shows, i.e. Sanford and Son, Married with Children, etc.... Sometimes it's red and white.... It looks to me like it's a knock off of Budweiser

The blue and white cans look like BudLite, and the red and white look like Budweiser. But when Mama offered Iola's pet fish some beer she says, "Tastes great, less filling" which is Miller Lite's jingle

I'm prolly wrong, but I'm gonna guess it was the "There's nothing like the dames" It's been a while since I've seen it, but I thought Mama kicked back with a beer at the picnic table after she threw the judgmental Dames out
