The only one that I can say is an issue of mine is getting online every day.....

But I've chosen to turn off the "machine" at about 8PM or so. An don't turn it on until about 10 to 11AM.

Just heard a Mental Health doc discuss on NPR this issue and how one can break the "high" of any of these addictions.

If it's really a problem, just STOP for 30 days, and then when the 30 days is done, limit oneself to going back. If it's drinking, drink only say on weekends. .

What gets me is when I see an ad for a crappy new TV show and they will say "this will be your new addiction"
I watched Dragnet so I knew drugs are bad news
I don't like smart phones except for being able to talk, text and GPS

Ah, and low priced cookies at that. I would on occasion buy the Subway ones but since I'm not out and about anymore, not tempted. I was a cookie hound, but no more. Too much sugar in them all. And no sugar types are tastless. So......

Spending the big $$$ millions spend on their hand held devices is just NOT ME....I did outside sales for years and no GPS and I was never late for my appts....How the hell did I survive. And texting, I can't be bothered and talking, I have a good ole land phone that works very good. Different time and strokes for many....

And giving these high priced "toys" to little ones and getting them hooked young, omg.....glad I don't have to deal with that one.

No perpetual coughs. I quit smoking two years ago and picked up cough drops to help me quit.

Oh so you traded... Glad you got rid of the "C" sticks. Too bad my son in law didn't, he and 2 other brothers all died to lung cancers. 2 brothers are alive and one still smokes and one would not touch them.

I believe my parents NOT smoking made a Huge difference in my life. Their 3 children have not smoked. I sometimes questioned the booze as that was my father's addiction, but no, I have not sipped any alcohol in years.....
