I noticed that "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show" (1950-58) and "I Love Lucy" (1951-57) were very similar. Out of the two ditzy wives, which one did you prefer: Gracie Allen or Lucy Ricardo?

Gracie deserved at least one Emmy for her work. LB was great, but Gracie really played a "part," a ditzy character. The lines she had to memorize were much more difficult than "Ohhh Ricky!!!"
It's just too bad that she didn't get more credit. I mean, the show was an inspiration to Seinfeld. Come'on people!!! |

Gracie was great as the naive blonde. She didn't get enough credit IMO. I could watch George Burns and Gracie Allen endlessly, LOL. She should've won an Emmy for her work.

Gracie is tops, I wish TV Land would put B&A on every day.

Gracie is my favorite. I didn't care for Lucy that much.

I think Gracie had some pretty good lines in The GB&GA Show, but Lucy was funny physically, so It would be kind of hard to Judge, hmmmmmm.......
