Question George Dancing on the Bed?

In one of the show's openers, George is in his pajamas dancing like crazy on the bed as Louise looks on.
I've seen most episodes, but not this one. Does anyone know why George was dancing on the bed? Was he happy or mad?
Thanks.

That scene is from an episode from the 2nd season. Which one, is a mystery. TV Land and Nick at Nite could have easily edited that scene out. However, there is one episode from the 2nd Season, called George vs. Wall Street, that I haven't seen and N&N and TV Land have never aired it. So it may be from that episode.

The reason George was jumping on the bed is because he bought a lot of beans. He is hoping for a big drought in Illinois so he can make a big profit.

You know, to this day, I've never seen that episode where that scene took place, and I've watched this show since it began in 1975 (I was 4 that year).

Yeah, when the Jeffersons came on NAN and my mom watched it with me, she saw George jumping on the bed and remembered what he was doing.

She said he had bought some stock in something. I dont know if it was beans, fruit trees, or wahtever it was....

anyways, he is saying "It's raining weezy! it's raining in....(I dont know the city)

I am guessing it's something like Orea

"It's raining weezy, it's raining in orea!"

Then she smacks him with that pillow I am assuming because he is so annoying and she wants him to go to bed because she wants to sleep as well.

I remember seeing this episode on N@N, but I forget why!! Im guessing because of the stock- which is what all of you said. But, I do remember seeing that episode.

Well, if it did, it must have only been once, because that episode did not air on Nick at Nite or TV Land from 2000-2002. The Jeffersons came to Nick in January 1999. But I just can't believe I missed it, if it did air. I doubt that it ever aired, because rotation after rotation, Nick always skipped the same episodes:

George vs. Wall Street
Appointment in 8-B
The Strays (Part 1)
The Strays (Part 2)
Father's Day

Red face

Why did N@N and TV LAND always skip over George Vs. Wall Street, there must have been something in that episode that the people at TV LAND and N@N didn't like.

We may soon learn why, when that episode is released with the rest of the episodes of the second season on DVD sometime this year.

I never knew that's why he was jumping up and down. Thanks, Monika for reviving this thread!
