I would like to mention two things about Helen Hunt that a lot of you probably already know. One is that she auditioned for the part of Katie from this series and the other is that, after not getting the part, she made a one-time appearance as Katie's friend Valerie. However, during the six years that this show was on the air, I had no idea who Helen Hunt was. It was not until "Mad About You" became a hit that her name became a household word. Even though I watched "Mad About You" religiously, it was not until I read about it that I learned that the same babe who had the female lead on that show was the same chick who had played Valerie years earlier. I also did not know that the actress who starred in "Mad About You" was the same person who had made a one-time appearance on "Facts of Life" even before "Gimme a Break!" Well, one week ago today, I realized something else for the first time. Boredom caused me to watch the movie "Peggy Sue Got Married". The last time I saw it was in 1987. I did not realize until last week that Helen Hunt played Peggy Sue's daughter in this movie! Anyone who wants to know more about this situation can head over to the "Mad About You" page.
