Why did The American Bible Challenge fail?

From the time GSN had announced it at the same time they were hyping the original GSN version of The Chase I felt that The American Bible Challenge would be a strong hit for GSN and with Jeff Foxworthy as host it seemed to help the show a lot and it was praised by critics not only because it tested wonderful knowledge about the bible and you learned interesting stuff and the teams that played gave their winnings to help their charity. But I cannot figure out why The American Bible Challenge died an early death at GSN? My theory is that once Season 2 of the show began they were trying to improve The American Bible Challenge by sticking famous Christian singers and bands such as Mary Mary and Kari Jobe and at the end of each episode they would have Mary Mary do a mini concert where they would promote their new albums and it seemed that The American Bible Challenge became Mary Mary's show and not Jeff Foxworthy's show and once Season 3 finished the show was cancelled without being renewed for Season 4. I think GSN treated this show the same way they treated The Chase and had The American Bible Challenge been renewed for Season 4 it still would've been a hit. Another thing that GSN could've done was have a marathon of the show in reruns for Easter every year and it would've worked marvelously. In the end I think The American Bible Challenge was a GSN hit that could've been a bigger hit had GSN chose not to improve it
