I feel like I need to do a rewatch because the complete series that I purchased in 2020 had defective eps that interfered with my enjoyment of the show like the episode Horshack vs Carvelli

I've been watching the series on Tubi and while seasons 1-3 have been great I'd forgotten how awful season 4 was. Gabe was barely in it, Vinnie was all but gone, Horshack became annoying with a permanent high pitched voice, and the writing was poor at best. They should have pulled the plug after season 3, it has clearly run out of gas by that point. The only good thing about season 4 is we got more Woodman and Julie, but again the stories were so bad that it didn't matter.

It showed too, such a huge drop in viewers from season 3 to season 4. The show fell from #28 in season 3 to #78 in season 4

I agree the 4th season is pretty bad.

Welcome Back Kotter originally aired during the same time I attended high school. I was a freshman during the 1st season 1975-76, and a senior during the last season, 1978-79.

Thats how it was for me regarding Saved by the Bell. lol I was in the same grade as the cast.

It was still some watchable episodes in season 4 since Freddie and Epstein was still involved
