Default musical instruments...

Does anyone play any musical instruments?

I used to play the violin from 3rd-5th grade in my school band. But I hated it soo much. At first I liked it then, it was just annoying. So, after 5th I quit. I still have my violin under my desk. But I want to learn how to play the guitar.

My Flute! I LOVE MY FLUTE!

I also play the piano, but I suck at it...so we won't go there...

I used to play violin..I hate it... but I'm going to give it another try in the fall.

I used to play clarinet...couldn't stand that after a while, so I gave it up...

Yay, a fellow Flute player!

I play the piccolo too, but I don't own one yet... I'll buy one when I'm better at it. I'm used to the large size of the flute. I, for some reason, cannot grasp the size of the piccolo. And what's the difference between a regular flute and an alto flute?

I love piccolo. It takes a little while to get good at though- the first few months i had one it sounded like something dying whenever i hit the higher notes...

An alto flute is lower than a regular flute (duh) and in G. Its really pretty sounding.
theres a good diagram of one here:

Oooo, that's interesting...my band teacher plays that. So obviously the fingerings aren't the same as regular flute, right?

I play flute, piano, a little organ...I almost played coronet once...but..we won't go there..."It sounds like somebody's dying!"

but, I don't get to play flute until concert band season, which won't be until like march!!! Cause I had to go and try out for freaking drum major!! So now I'm drum major and I don't get to play! Which stinks cause we're marching with piccolos this year instead of flutes!

I played the Clarinet for two years in the band. I always got stuck being 1st clarinet and had all of the higher notes. Those are a pain to play. I can play a little bit on the piano & drums, but not much. And now I'm learning the guitar. I love my guitar more than anyother instrument I've tried.
