What got it's start from a hugely popular commercial became an instant sitcom. That show was Baby Bob and it turned Baby Bob from a commercial star to sitcom star and a huge celebrity. Airing on CBS Baby Bob was a cute sitcom and had an awesome storyline. Though cute Baby Bob soon was cancelled by CBS after one season but it was a smart way to spin off a sitcom from a commercial

Baby Bob ran for two short seasons on CBS. The first season got good ratings. When it was brought back in 2003, it was pulled after three episodes aired.

You are right that it was a good idea to make a sitcom after the popularity of the original commercials.

Do you remember the Baby Bob character in a series of commercials for Quizno's? That was after the show ended.

I reconstructed our Baby Bob message board. It's interesting reading the original comments. I saw some of the episodes were uploaded to YouTube.
