Default Colorizing B&W shows

Which B&W show do you want to see colorized the most?

I want to see The Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show colorized.
How popular would that be?

I think the Beatles are a great idea. Bands from the 60s are old news -- except for the Beatles and a few others.

As far as old sitcoms go, CBS has dabbled with color for Dick Van Dyke and Lucy. I'd like to see someone attempt an episode or two of Leave It To Beaver.

I'd also like to see an attempt to re-do season 1 of Gilligan's Island. What TBS did to that in the 90s was a disaster and an embarrassment. They would need to use the 35mm network masters this time, and actually try to match up with the color seasons, which there was no evidence of being done originally.

Personally B&W was a big part of our history and why change...I don't buy that.

As long as there is a choice as to which one to watch I don't see a problem with it.
It's when you get into the George Lucas-style of not allowing any past edition of the show to be produced or bought like he did with the original Star Wars movies, that I tend to have a problem with.

Many people agree, but I always say the black and white episodes don't disappear. They're all still available.

Dennis the Menace -- I think that would be a no-brainer for colorization.

Make Room for Daddy would be fun - Marjorie Lord was a redhead in addition to of course Rusty Hamer. Would have been neat if their final season had been in color originally.

How about the Honeymooners as well as MORE ILove Lucy episodes? There were some colorized HM sketches that were done by people on YouTube which I recorded and saved. Good thing I did because they have since been removed.

All popular TV series that started in B&W and ended in colour like The Beverly Hillbillies.

100% agree, I like colorization in concept but the execution with respect to season 1 was horrible.
