Question Frasier's mother

I just saw the ep. "Diane meets mom" on my syndi station and I thought that Frasiers Mother died when he was a child.

But in the Frasier ep " Don juan in hell" Diane recalls when she met his mother.

Anybody know?

I think you maybe confusing his Mom with his Dad. Frasier told everybody at the bar that his father was a world renowned scientist who died. (This was way before the writers ever thought of a Frasier spinoff) Diane did indeed meet Mother Crane when she visited Boston. She threatened to kill Diane if she continued dating her son.

Arrow correction

Let me rephrase my question:

In the episode "Death takes aholiday on ice" Didnt Frasier mention tocarla of his mother dying at a young age when they talked about death. Then Diane met her. A mistake in the writing perhaps?

You are probably right though. Thanks

Frasier's mother was played by Nancy Marchand, who also played Tony Soprano's mother on The Sopranos. I believe she played on Lou grant as well.
The actress had quite a resume, and sadly passed away last year.

The Diane meets Frasier's mom episode ran tonight.

Whatever happened to Frasier's mother? I don't recall ever seeing her on his current show.

She died.

But then again Frasier also said that his father was dead too, so who knows exactly.

Becker:Are you done yet?
Cop:Yes.
Becker:Theres 2 guys with scrapply hair loading tvs into their car.
Cops:Thats our guys!
Becker:See! You shouldnt tell me to shut up!

Frasier: It was one night of passion! Take from it what you can learn, and move on!
Niles: Well, I learned, if you kiss her too fast you get an ice-cream headache.
Lilith: You also learned that I have twice your upper body strength, so shut your pie-hole.

Frasier:Ill never have the wedding of my dreams. My first one we ran right out to city hall which lacked in ceremony. Then came my second which lacked in bride. Then my third. And if i knew what i know now i would have left Lilith at the buffet table and walked down the isle with an ice sculpture.

Lilith:Sam im going to tell you what i tell all my patients..What do you think?
Sam:And they pay you for that?
Lilith:What do you think?

He also said that his mother died.

In the episode "Death takes a Holiday on Ice".

Fraser is consoling Carla after the death of Eddie and telling her she needs to grieve and face it instead of trying to ignore it and then he busts out "Mommy, Why you".

Also in an episode he asks Sam to babysit for Frederik, and he says "Well I would ask my parents to do it, but they're dead"
