Should certain censoring be stopped on network and basic cable networks? The kind I'm referring to is swearing. I think swear words should be aloud. There not that much of a big deal.
But I do think that nudity should be left on the pay cable channels such as HBO and Showtime. |

I think alot of censoring as far as swearing is already getting fairly lax. Especially on basic cable. There was that one episode of South Park where they said the "s-word" 100+ times, and that one movie on ESPN? about Bobby Knight that was filled with the "f-word". On network TV they let Dr. Greene's "Sh*t" through on ER....I'm sure there's more examples....doesn't NYPD Blue have swearing?
I think that it's not a big deal to let mild cussing be shown on TV, especially if it's later at night, like 10PM on. I also personally think that Americans are way too uptight about nudity, something which at it's core is no big deal, and I think we should be more lax about that on TV as well. Except for the fact that if we were, it'd be most likely 90% women who were shown...which would suck. |
