Cheers was in the basement, Melville's occupied the first floor, what was on the other 3 or 4 floors? Was it offices, apartments or what???

I'm trying to think of the episode where Frasier threatened to jump off the building and Sam went up there to get him down. They showed the inside of one of those rooms, but I can't remember what it looked like?!?
P.S., Dr. Frasier Crane I love your avatar! |

I'm pretty sure it was an office of some sort that Frasier was going to jump out of. As to what all the other floors were above Melville's, I don't think they ever really said, but my guess is that it was either just offices or a mixture of offices and apartments.

Okay, I'll take a trip into Boston Sunday and find out for you guys. LOL. I'll go knock on the door and be like, "Excuse me, are there offices on this floor? Or just apartments?" LMAO!
Gotta work tomorrow and Saturday, but we'll see about Sunday.

I'll take mine to go! |

Just to make a correction it was Rebecca and Carla who went up there to try and get him down. Sam was outside with the megaphone, and he told Frasier that he loved him, and then spent the rest of the time trying to make sure that Frasier knew what he meant by that. And yes it was an office up there in the room that Frasier was in. |

Recently, I went to Cheers in Boston. Cheers is in the basement, as it is on the show. Then there is the canopy where the entrance to Melville's is supposed to be. If you walk through the entrance of that canopy that is actually where they have the Cheers gift shop and another small restaurant. When you are in the area where Melville's is supposed to be (the gift shop) there is a huge winding staircase that goes upstairs. On the canopy outside they have the name "Hampshire House" written where Melville's is on the show. I didn't go up those stairs, but I assume that it is maybe a hotel or apartments. Something of that magnitude.
