What is your favorite series that starred a WKRP cast member? (after WKRP)
Such as: Head of the Class Frank's Place New WKRP Just the Ten of Us etc. |

"Frank's Place" with Reid is without question the best off all post-KRP cast shows. It was also one of the best shows of the '80s...but of course like most creative, artistic, and critical triumphs, it was a commercial failure. It was a little too smart.
I remember really wanting to like "Head of the Class"...but the show never did it for me. I can almost understand Hesseman wanting to do a 180 from the "Fever" character as not to be typecast...but his character on HOTC was dull, non- exisistent, and dissapointing. The supporting cast of kids was, well.....just plain lame.Terrible show. |

i really enjoyed "franks place" which i think was produced by hugh wilson.
"head of the class" and "easy street"(which starred loni anderson and was produced by hugh wilson) were entertaining but not worth setting the vcr for. "teachers only"(tim reid had a starring role in) dreadful! should've been on tv guides worst 50 tv shows list! "just the ten of us"(frank bonner was miscast as a priest) "nurses"(loni anderson joined the cast during the middle of its run) was forgetable "partners in crime"(which starred loni anderson and lynda carter) was also forgetable "the new wkrp in cincinnati" had a weak supporting cast in my opinion! "sister, sister"(tim reid was one of the stars)not worth mentioning "snoops"(staring tim reid and his wife daphne maxwell reid) was mildly entertaining but the point i'm making is that none of these tv series hold a candle to the original "wkrp in cincinnati" |
