An I Love Lucy Valentine’s Day:

(Lucy meets with the Mertzes.)

Lucy: “You two don’t know this but I will be a part of Ricky’s show tonight. While you two are celebrating your love.”

(Fred coughs.)

Ethel: “Fred. Now Fred, you will be paying for this.”

Fred: “Swell. Now we can dance all the way to the poor house.”

Lucy: “I will be the flying Cupid and shoot arrows. This will be my chance to get noticed and to get in show biz.”

Ethel: “What will Ricky say when he sees you?”

Lucy: “He will thank me for saving his show.”

Fred: “We will keep a secret.”

(At the show, Ricky is talking to Marco, the piano player.)

Ricky: “You should have seen Lucy reacting when I told her that she couldn’t be in the show. She acted like a child.”

Marco: “You were expecting anything different?”

(Ricky laughs.)

Ricky: “Time for me to start the show.”

(Lights go out and the spotlight shines on Ricky.)

Ricky: “Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We are proud to present to you tonite the Valentine’s Day show. The Flying Cupid. Let’s have the music.”

(They play “I Just Called To Say I Love You.” Lucy is swinging and she is scared.)

Lucy (scaring Ricky, yells): “WHOOOOOAAAAAAAA! PUT ME DOWN! TIME FOR LOVE.”

(She shoots arrows and hits the lights causing the lights to break. The Club Babalu suffers a blackout. Ricky gets a flashlight and when Lucy is being lowered, he confronts her. Lucy is scared.)

Lucy (yells): “NOW RICKY…RICKY…”
