I know for many, Sam’s arrival was the JTS moment for DS. I’m watching all the seasons on Prime and revisiting the show for the first time in years. I’m on S7 and his arrival seems like a breath of fresh air for the series. Willis was too old to still be having adventures with Arnold and Dudley and Robbie can only hang around so much. Sam’s arrival gave Arnold’s character new life as mentor role. Dixie Carter’s Maggie was a good pairing for Phil Drummond. I know she will be gone in a few more episodes, but for now she’s a nice addition to the show.
