How would you have shot it. Using this photo from less than 20 years earlier, the flower girl’s outfit alone would have been better for Dawn Lyn given the “i see Paris, I see France…” one that she was saddled with in the real episode and press photos.

I am not great on age of photos but that photo looks to be around 1900-1930. How does this photo come into the conversation of Steve's wedding?. Only the child's dress. Child' dress looks fine to me.

You won't find me complaining about short dresses. I wish they were back in style instead of these Gosh-Awful ballet tights women folk wear. And worse of all is when big fat women wear those tights
makes you want to run and hide.

As I've mentioned before, the almost-dissolving of the wedding plans repeated the uncertainty that had popped up two seasons earlier with Rob and Katie nearly calling theirs off. I liked the use of Stafford Repp as a fairly sympathetic cop when Steve's proposal is accepted in a police station. Fun to watch. Barbara's mom is a good character too, and adds well to the story.
Season 10, Steve & Barbara's wedding season, is a good one for the study of that era's high hemlines for women. When Rob & Katie visit Bryant Park, Tina Cole is dressed in a wonderful series of very short dresses, followed by a short skirt outfit with blouse & jacket. Absolutely beautiful. Of course, my study is purely for academic documentation. |

What I wondered was why, after Steve and Barbara's disaster at that Mexican resort, Chip and Polly stayed there for THEIR honeymoon! Surely, that wasn't the ONLY resort hotel they could have found in Mexico!

Also as I once mentioned, with Steve being a prominent aerospace engineer with a private office and secretary, he could easily afford to book a flight anywhere for the honeymoon. At least we get to see Paui Petersen on the Mexico visit.
When Chip & Polly go down, we get to observe lovely Veronica Cartwright. |

That photo is probably from the late forties or early 1950s. It looks too New York and not California enough, where Steve and Barbara were married.

But, right, I'd think they would have told Chip and Polly, hey, go to Hawaii. |
