As part of the BBC’s centenary celebrations we asked a panel of experts to help whittle down all the classic BBC TV Shows from across the years to a shortlist of 50 for viewers to vote for their most-loved BBC Television Show. The final 50 included everything from drama to comedy to entertainment to factual and natural history. The panel comprised of Sara Wallis, Mirror TV Columnist, David Butcher, Radio Times’ Choices Editor, Dick Fiddy, BFI Archive TV Programmer and Hanna Flint, Freelance Movie and TV critic and MTV Movies Host.

Without "Are You Being Served" this list has zero credibility. It's good that "Fawlty Towers", "Blackadder" and "Top of the Pops" were included though. I clicked the links and saw they were long ago JTS comments and didn't bother to read any further.

It's odd the "Are You Being Served", "Keeping Up Appearances" and "Miranda" did not make the list. If I'm not mistaken, they were not on the voting list as a choice.

Funny, twenty years ago there was a somewhat similar test and this were the results then:

1 Only Fools and Horses
2 Blackadder
3 The Vicar of Dibley
4 Dad's Army
5 Fawlty Towers
6 Yes Minister
7 Porridge
8 Open All Hours
9 The Good Life
10 One Foot in the Grave

It was sitcom only then. But the results are not totally different.
