Default has anyone ever noticed this??

In the opening credits of the show in the first season (when they're in the squares!) keep your eye on Robert Reed the whole time. He looks like he's mad about something! One part at the end he looks to his left at Bobby and he totally shakes his head like he's upset at him. But then again I heard that they filmed their heads separately so he really wasn't looking at Bobby. Well, it just find it weird.

If Greg, Peter and Bobby were my kids, I'd be shaking my head in disgust as well..

yes! i've noticed that, too. it seems to me that he's feigning disbelief at the number of kids he will now have to father and support.

when he returns to smiling, i think we are to get the message that reed is up for the job.

Default Robert Reed

That is funny about Robert Reed frowning like that, I'll have to check that out! Since all references say that he was pissed about the comedic elements of the show from day one, it could be that they took his "checkerboard" shot at a time when he was upset!

That' the effect he was obviously going for in the first season opening. As if he's thinking, "Oh no. My youngest son. He's probably been getting into trouble again."

Actually, they did a poor job of telling the actors where to look. Sometimes they are looking too high or too low to be looking at a person.

OMG..Ive always noticed that too!! I always figured it was because he was so P.O'd that he was on the show. I wouldnt be surprised if that was the reason.

I just noticed something. (Because of the bad angle) he's not frowning at Bobby, but Greg.

He's like, "Oh no. My oldest son, the teenager. He's probably thinking about girls, pizza, or a new car. Will the madness ever end?"

It's truly the best part of any of the opening shots from any season.

Default Mike Brady frowning in opening credits

Yeah, I noticed that a few years ago and wondered what his problem was!

That post earlier about "I'd be shaking my head in disgust if those were my kids" was funny! I SHOULDN'T think it's funny, because the Brady Bunch is my favorite show, but it was a funny reply!

Something about Bobby always irritates me for some reason. I think it's those butt-ugly teeth he has. Man--he could eat corn on the cob through a picket fence with those things!!!!

I've noticed that too. Robert Reed only shakes his head during the opening of one season. I know it's not the first season. I think it was the opeing of the third season where he shakes his head.
