Cool Theme Song

There is something about the FT theme songs that is really amusing. Other than the lyrics, what could be so amusing about the theme?

Amusing about the theme?? LOL I have no idea... I don't find it amusing at all but I do love it. It's one of the best themes...

I bet we've been together for a million years.....

I agree with what you say a lot. What I meant by "amusing" is that it seems like it is one of those themes that always stays wiht you. My real point of this is that I have an MIDI file of this theme. I love it just as much as I love the other T.V. theme.

Thumbs up

Without Us is just a beautiful love song. The lyrics and the melody combined create one of the prettiest and most heartwarming songs I've ever heard. Johnny Mathis has that great voice, and Deniece Williams sings like an angel, and she can really hit those high notes.
What also sets the song apart are the lyrics. A lot of what is sung is really impossible....been together for a million years....together for a million more....I started breathing on the night we met....I can't remember what I ever did before.
People madly in love think like this and have that dreamy feeling.
The line that's very cute is, And there ain't no nothing we can't love each other through...
Forget about the double negative--there's a triple negative for you.
Another example of a person in love defying logic--of reality, of time, of grammar.
I've been listening to the song for so many years, and I enjoy it just as much every time.
Sha la la la....

Right on the money. In fact, that is what was in my head for a long time. Now I know why this song is so pretty. I notice you have a Red Sox logo, I think the Red Sox are a cool team, I happen to be a Chicago Cubs fan.

you are so right, it is just a beautiful love song, and it goes perfectly with the show's theme of love and family. It is a wonderful accompaniment to the relationship between Stephen and Elyse, how they've been together forever, and will always be together, and there's nothing they can't love each other through. Who would they be without each other? (Elyse actually mentions this in the episode where Stephen had a heart attack. She is explaining to Alex how much she and Stephen mean to each other and that they've been together so long that she doesn't know who she'd be or what she'd be like without him.)
It asks the question, "What would we do, baby, without us?" which I think refers not only to them but the whole family. What would they do if they didn't have each other? Its a real testament to the spirit of the family and once again, it is simply a beautiful love song.
