Favorite Gomer Episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi everyone

My name is Irene and this is the first time I posted on this list and I know this question was answer a while back but I like to answer it

My two favorite episode that had Gomer in was Gomer Pyle USMC and The Song Fester I like my second choice because any show that Gomer sing in is my kind of show. Boy do I love to hear that man sing

Gomer is one heckuva character! On Gomer Pyle USMC my favorite episode is the 'Welsh Rarebit' one (sorry I don't know the actual eppy names)...and on The Andy Griffith Show, it's the one where they were building a bandstand for a concert. When Gome says "I don't know Barney...it sure looks 'spidery' in there" I almost lose it!

He DOES have a beautiful voice...but unfortunately a song he did ended up on a web-site called MISERABLE MELODIES! Click the link, and scroll down for Jim Nabors singing 'You Are The Sunshine of my Life'! DEFINITELY not the calibre of 'Oh My Papa'!

And while yer there, don't miss 'My Bathroom'...produced by the toilet manufacturer 'American Standard'! PRICELESS!!

My favorite Gomer episode is when he loses his job at Wallys fillin station and stays at Andys for a while. He sings and makes all kinda noise and works on the vacuum cleaner in the middle of the night. And a bunch of customers come over and want Gome to listen to what's wrong with their cars in the middle of the night.

That episode was hilarious! Of course, I have to add "Citizen's Arrest'' to my list of favorite Gomer episodes.

I loved the episode when he joined the Marines and started singing "From the Halls of Montezumer" that is classic!
