Was there ever a real recording made available of the Mayberry "folklore"? I believe the Darlings made a couple of records in the late 60s under their real names, but I'm referring to that episode where the record producer sold stock in the record that he taped of the local Mayberry talent.

I don't know if such a recording was ever made, but the "Darlings" (actually The Dillards) were an established group BEFORE TAGS and still play concerts and record today. They have a website and I have seen one of their CD's in the bluegrass section of Barnes & Noble Music. Also, I have seen them on Napster.
