Today I got to see a wonderful treat while waiting for dinner. I'll give you a clue what movie it was? "The hills are alive with the sound of music" Yes The Sound Of Music is what I saw and it really is a wonderful movie and after Mary Poppins Maria is Julie Andrews's second finest role and I was amazed that she could handle the role of Maria like a pro. What I think makes The Sound Of Music so wonderful is the enchanting songs like Do-Re Mi to My Favorite Things and now I know why My Favorite Things is sometimes featured in Christmas albums because it's truly enchanting. Gwen Stefani even used one of the songs from The Sound Of Music in her song Wind Up and it's no secret that the original The Sound Of Music is so great to watch and even better than Carrie Underwood's NBC live version

I think Julie Andrews really shined in The Sound Of Music and she and the late Christopher Plummer were such a good team in the movie. For comparison I listened to the soundtrack of the NBC live version of The Sound Of Music with Carrie Underwood and I could tell you that Carrie Underwood could've been a Broadway singer rather than a country singer because although her acting in The Sound Of Music was weak she really has the talent to sing the songs of The Sound Of Music with ease. When I watched the movie yesterday my mother came in with dinner and she was amazed at The Sound Of Music and wanted to watch with me but she liked it a lot

Hi, Bestie! Yes, Julie Andrews is really the only one to sing the songs in the Sound of Music. I watched it a long time ago and every time I hear another singer try to sing the songs, it just does not sound right to me. Do you agree?
