Default Beaver, the Victim

Once again Beaver is a tortured victim. In Lost Watch we have a big overgrown goon trying to extort money from a little child. I only hope Fred figured out how to get him.

Lumpy should have been boiled in oil or at least given 5 minutes with June and her frying pan and carving knife. Instead he comes over to apologize and apology accepted. A miscarriage of justice.

They should've tried to get HIM with the barrel hoops in this one.

Setting a trap for Lumpy would have been sweet revenge. Instead of pulling his back wheels off they could have planted a car bomb in his britches.

Hmm

Beav & Wally were basically the nice sweet young characters
Seems the majority of the other young actors were the counters to the angels ! ? lol

So many were at odds with the Cleaver boys, a major premise to the show even +-
One after another leads them into mischief

Wally had a few nice girlfriends only to be balanced out by the scheming or using him type

It may be interesting make a list of the the players -

Good Influence:

Bad Influence:

Julie Foster and Mary Ellen Rogers were good influences on Wally. Shirley the other driving student with him, not so good. You could argue Eddie was a bad influence but he didn't seem to make a difference with Wally.

Beaver had no good influences.

Shirley was an arrogant know-it-all but changed a lot in Wally’s Car Accident. He took her to the dance and she had the same name. Sort of like Mary Ellen and Myra who wanted an orchid.

Julie Foster ran hot and cold as she was exuberant being at the White Fox with Wally only to think Wally was naďve and immature compared to the drip, Wayne. Jill Bartlett was a sweet girl like Gail Preston, the tall girl.

I forgot about Myra. She was a real pain. So was Ginny Townsend now that I think about it.

Yes, Jill and Gail were both nice. From what little we see of her, Kitty Bannerman turns out to be nice, too.

If Wally had been a few years older, I think he would have pursued that beautiful babysitter of Beaver’s, portrayed by the stunning Barbara Parkins.

The other girl, who picked up Beaver’s old train set, was another beautiful young woman, who understandably caught Wally’s eye.

Definitely. Those two were, IMO, the most prized catches of all the girls on LITB.

Stunning indeed.

Beaver was too busy worrying about being found out by Gilbert and Richard.

He WAS too old for a sitter. Or at least most normal kids that age would be.
