Perhaps you can recall when John Madden became the spokesman for Ace Hardware from the 80's to the 2000's in a long commercial run? In honor of the passing of this football legend research these commercials to learn more about him. I never knew the story of how or why Ace Hardware chose John Madden to become their commercial spokesman but he was actually pretty cool and funny in the commercials and little did we know that these commercials would turn John Madden from football legend to commercial superstar. But do watch these commercials to honor Mr. Madden and always remember "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks"

Hi, Bestie! Yes Madden was a great spokesman for Ace hardware. I think it was a good fit because Madden was a regular guy and Ace sells to regular guys. I always thought that Madden should have had his own TV show. He was naturally funny. What do you think?
