It's been one of those times where a certain actor or actress keeps popping up in different shows even though you are not trying or looking for that person. The only thing I was selecting was Christmas episodes of shows I've been watching all year.
So far this week I've seen Will Wright (Ben Weaver to you Andy fans) on each Christmas episode I've seen so far, The Real McCoys as a hock shop owner, Ozzie & Harriet as the old guy who sells his piano to the Nelson boys, December Bride as the grouchy neighbor & Andy Griffith as Ben the Scrooge. Will Wright sure got around in his old age. He really was the perfect grouch. I think after he died Charles Lane must have got all the grouch parts Will might have done. ![]() https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/w300_and_...VNEJTyHyhc.jpg |

"Will Wright sure got around in his old age".
He looked older than he was, he was only 66 years old at the time the Christmas episode aired. Now Burt Mustin who appeared as Jud in several episodes of the series was 76 years old when the show premiered. |

Will Wright also appeared in THE DANNY THOMAS SHOW episode called "Danny Meets Andy Griffith" that was the pilot for TAGS. He played a merchant named Mr. Johnson who owned a store that rented a suit to a widow (played by Francis Bavier) for her husband's funeral. The husband was buried in it, and Mr. Johnson was charging her 50 cents a day rent.
