"American Idol" creator Simon Cowell (today a Judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent") likewise Created an Ambitious Project in 2004 known as Il Divo. Il Divo consists of a Multinational Quartet inspired by the Three Tenors from Various Parts of the World--including Swiss German Urs Buhler, Frenchman Sebastian "Seb" Izambard, American David Miller, and German-born, Madrid-raised Carlos Marin, the Quartet based in Simon Cowell's native England. Carlos, age 53, died yesterday, December 19, 2021 in a Manchester, England Hospital at age 53, reportedly of COVID-19 Complications despite being fully COVID-19 Vaccinated, after falling Ill 12 days earlier on December 7, 2021. Born on October 13, 1968 in Hesse, West Germany, Carlos Marin Menchero grew up from Infancy up in Madrid, Spain, where he released his first Album at age 8 years old c. 1976-1977; a Classically-Trained Operatic Baritone, Carlos' experience as such helped him win his Audition for Simon Cowell's Il Divo. Il Divo's biggest American hit record is "Regresa a Mi" (a Spanish-language rendition of Toni Braxton's 1996 hit "Unbreak My Heart"); the surviving Trio of Il Divo is set to, as of this writing, Tour around the World in 2022. In addition to being in Il Divo, Carlos Marin also provided the Spanish-language Singing Voice of Prince Charming for Disney's 1950 film "Cinderella." RIP Carlos, and Entertain Jesus with your Operatic Talents in Heaven. 10/13/1968 - 12/19/2021 |

Wasn't Il Divo that band that Simon Cowell created? I do remember seeing their album when it debuted at Target and Mom and I saw one of their music videos and Mom and I were surprised at their talent. What a surprise that Carlos Marin is gone because he was amazing and he seemed to show great promise as a singer. I wonder if Il Divo will get back together with a new member to replace Carlos?
