Was Lethal Weapon the closest film equivalent to Miami Vice - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Before there actually was a proper cinematic adaptation of Miami Vice? The Lethal Weapon films of course, take place in Los Angeles instead of Miami but doesn't Lethal Weapon still almost have the same formula as Miami Vice: drug smuggling bad buys, good cop / bad cop, black guy / white guy, but with less pastel.

I havent seen Miami Vice but I like the first Lethal Weapon movie.......

I dont like movies that get stupid and corny..... The first LW was good but after that they were just as stupid to me as Naked gun was!!
