Default Do you think that Scott Peterson is guilty or innocent?

Do you think he is guilty or innocent? And why do you think that?

Does anyone really think he's innocent? Wasn't it proven that he killed his wife and unborn baby?

Guilty, he wanted rid of his wife & baby so he could get with that other woman Amber. She'd better thank her lucky stars she didn't end up dead in the bay after he got tired of her too.

To be honest OP, I've always had mixed feelings about the Peterson case. Do I believe Scott Peterson murdered his pregnant wife? Yes. That said however, I also believe that the state failed to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. They did a terrific job of proving he was a lying, cheating bastard IMO, but that doesn't automatically make someone guilty of murder. I've also always had a bit of trouble with Peterson's alleged motive. It has never made sense to me that he was supposedly so terrified of the responsibilities of his impending fatherhood that he went right out and started a relationship with a woman who herself had a brand new baby at home.

All of that notwithstanding however, I still believe that Peterson most likely murdered his wife and unborn child. I just wish some of those lingering questions didn't bother me quite so much.

Absolutely. I didn't even know this was an issue.

I find it interesting that there is zero physical evidence linking him to the murder. He is a proven liar and cheater. He is scum but lying to your wife and your mistress/having an affair is not a crime.
There is the evidence of one of Laci's hairs being on Scott's boat, but what exactly does that mean? That one hair could have been transferred.
I have doubt. I'm not saying Scott is innocent. I'm not saying he's guilty either. What I am saying is that I have reasonable doubt.
Oh yeah, that nut case juror no. 7 was so obsessed with Scott Peterson that she wrote him 29 letters since he's been in prison. She even wrote him about her time at the mental ward since the trial.

I am south of Modesto by a spit or two.

My only question is how he got her out of the boat without capsizing.

Honestly don't feel like I can say. I don't think it was possible to get anything close to a fair trial with all of the Nancy Grace and media furor.

The big thing with this on why he seems guilty is because who else would have done it? What motive would someone have in killing a very pregnant lady and dumping her in the bay ? She had no enemies, a very well liked woman . And it obviously wasn't a robbery or something gone wrong !

Also Scott acted suspicious after ! Esp. phoning Amber pretending to be in Paris when he was actually at a candle light vigil for Lacy !

It is a 100% fact that there indeed was a robbery across the street from the Peterson home when Laci went missing.

I just don’t believe that there is a link between the robbery and Laci’s murder. If the robbers had killed her, they would’ve (most likely) left her in the home, not disposed of her in the bay. They are a red herring.

It's not impossible so it creates reasonable doubt.

Yeah, WHY? If they kidnapped her, then of course they would kill her and dump her outside of the home.
