I just found this article that Mindy wrote a couple of years ago for the "Huffpost".

Do you think the religious fanatic part refers to Lisa?

I would think she means the extreme right wing in general.

I doubt it. IMDB lists 88 film and video projects for Mindy, and she had a career that spanned more than 30 years, at that point. There are so many personalities in Hollywood that she could be referring to many people.

One person she worked with, known for being very religious, is Willie Aames, who starred in a series he produced called Bibleman.
