Celebrities are damned if they do and damned if they don't with plastic surgery
So, many times if an older Celebrity gets plastic surgery , they get ragged and dragged for trying desperately to cling to their youth.
If they don't get plastic surgery, they get ragged and dragged on for how old they look. So sad.

Well then,...DAMN THEM ALL!! lol!
I don't believe that it is just age related, however. Oh, it's most notable when a lift, or a tuck goes wrong, and it's humorous seeing a geriatric with their forehead pulled so tight they can barely close their eyes all the way. But, I see youngsters mutilate themselves in ways that are hard to fathom, as well. Lisa Rinna, for example....and while Nikki Cox looked great at first, her "enhancements" have not stood up to time very well. The one thing that really puzzles me is that with the huge amount of work that Bridget Moynahan has obviously had done, why she has never gotten "the most frequently performed cosmetic procedure". If there ever was anyone in need, it would be her. |

There is a fine line to lip augmentation. And unfortunately most who get it, tend to overdo it.
But, we are a strange breed. Among the famous, those with looks tend to go farther than those who don't. I try to claim that looks are not as important as talent for a recording artist, just as an example. Yet when I think about (example) the music group Mamas and the Papas, I think about Michelle Phillips way before I think about Cass Elliot......despite the uneven talent factor. So, clearly performers understand that aspect, and feel it necessary to do all that is possible to get that last 5% of appeal. Frank Sinatra would never have been as huge, had he looked like Fred Mertz. |

Yeah, Michelle Phillips was a stunner.
However, Cass Elliott had a beautiful, rich voice that only comes around in a generation even if she wasn't an oil painting! Take off the album covers and guess which tracks of the records got played more often- those dominated by Mama Cass! When was the last time anyone ever requested to hear a Michelle Phillips song? |

I think it's so unfortunate that anyone feels under pressure to go under the knife to change his/her appearance. I remember seeing Courteney Cox after her face surgeries and being aghast. I'm glad she's had those procedures reversed because she was starting to look like Michael Jackson. I hope she's able to just gracefully age and still maintain a career... which is hard for a woman over 40 in Hollywood.
PracTz makes a good point about Mama Cass: talent tops looks. A more recent example is Susan Boyle. |

At least you can tell it's her. Her Plastic Surgery doesn't look THAT bad! Look at Scream 4 for a good example. She looks like a pretty, classy, middle aged Woman. Here are some pictures from her Scream 4 Movie. ![]() https://www.google.com/search?sa=X&s...q765LDzXbkFBBM This is NOT the face of someone who went overboard with plastic surgery...

I think that Michelle Phillips rep for having the morals of an alley cat factors into her appeal as well. She just exudes "accessible".... |

I've known burlesque queens who had a fairly cavalier attitude towards the whole thing...they spoke of augmentation procedures much like you'd hear white trash talking about tattoos. 10 year plan, etc.
